Monday Morning Prayer: Facing Life’s Pitches

For some of us we are facing fast balls high and inside which are making us wince. Help us to stand firm and “swing” with confidence.

Others of us are are swinging away at sliders which are frustrating us as all we seem to be hitting is air. Help us be patient.

And some of us are very frustrated at the off-speed change ups that are popping up and throwing us off. Grant us wisdom in knowing how to handle them.

  1. This profound, yet concise, word picture/parable prayer just made me pause and consider the pitches God is throwing toward me at this moment. It is speaking to my heart and is just what I needed to pray this morning. God bless you, Jim!
