Jon stood nervously off stage as the memories danced in a montage of voices, faces and songs from the past. Dan looked at him and said, “Man, can it be twenty years since we stood here?”

“Yeah, hard to believe.”

“Think of all the great times here. Remember The Little Mermaid? The crowd laughed because they saw us, two brothers on stage, you as the Prince and me as King Triton! “

“Yeah, I remember…”

“What’s wrong with you?

“Mrs. Monahan is out there.”

“Where?”

“Front.row.”

“Hey it was twenty years ago!”

“Yeah, but you didn’t throw up on Ariel in the closing number either!”

  1. Dear Jim, That would be a bad memory, I hope Mrs. Monohan doesn’t hold any grudges. Sounds like there is a history here – and I’m sure it’s a winner! Clever writing and you do it very well – better than me, but I really enjoyed your story. Thanks, Nan 🙂

  2. Funny stuff! Felt real too. God knows I wouldn’t forget about puking on the main actress onstage in a hurry, even if it was a couple of decades ago!
