The quietness of this journey Lord
is beginning to make sense.
A peace intertwined with an awareness of pain, un-grieved grief, and an subtle and slicing awareness that has been hidden is present.
It is still dry in places with questions still being hung in my mind and heart awaiting answers
But it is moist in others because the growing hunger and thirst for you is present.
This time of waiting, of letting go, of listening, makes me both antsy and hopeful
The sameness of this desert walk is turning to a seeing of color and beauty – Your presence all along, all along
Father help me, help US (because I and we do not walk alone) in this Lenten journey to keep paying attention, better attention…
… to listen, really L-I-S-T-E-N to and for You
