A Hump Day Prayer of Thanks

We are grateful today Our Father that

In the beginning You created the heavens and the earth.

and we are continually reminded that

[You say] to the snow, ‘Fall on the earth,’ and to the rain shower, ‘Be a mighty downpour.’

and we acknowledge that even in the cold brightness of winter

[you know] how we are formed, [You] remembers that we are dust.

Yet we are grateful (at times) from the brilliant while beauty of the snow

and that life, even in the season of winter has a purpose under heaven.

So with gratitude we express thanks for the beauty of the earth and reminders that other seasons of seasons and life are yet to come.

  1. Why do your comments close so quickly? New readers or those that arrive late to see your photos can not remark on how great they are. I haven’t seen snow like this in 43 years, but it’s terrific seeing how beautiful it still is.

    1. Several years ago I had a shouting match develop over the source of a quote in a book I had read. So I decided to limit the time comments to post were open.

But perhaps it is time to re-think it. We have certainly had our share of snow this year!

      Thanks for your comment!

      1. I’m afraid You’ll always come across those people – if they can’t let bygones be bygones after the disagreement – the heck with them. You control your comments, you could trash this one if you wanted.
