Thursday Thoughts on A Friday Afternoon

Our wonderful indie bookstore, Summer’s Stories, (found on Twitter at http://twitter.com/SummerStories ) has opened up the walls for quotes from characters and/or works of fiction. Just a few moments ago,  I wrote the following quote on the wall. It is from the late Morris West’s beginning volume of his trilogy title The Shoes of The Fisherman:

“…it seems to me that where we have been defensive, where we have retreated, holding the Faith to ourselves  as though it could be tarnished by contact with the world, there we have failed…where we have affirmed most boldly that the Gospel is relevant to every human act and every situation, there we have done well.”
