A Monday Morning Prayer

Good morning Father

On this Monday we are facing a variety of things that can, and will, tax our souls.

Some of us are returning to our places of work where we have to deal with an issue or a person that we cannot avoid. Give us grace and wisdom to do the right thing in the right attitude that honors you and respects them as a much as possible.

Some of us have finally returned to school and we are already feeling anxious and uncertain. Give us peace and hope and remind us through your Spirit that you are with us.

Some of us look at the week ahead and wonder why we are still here and alive. Life for us is joyless and meaningless. Give us an experience of serving this day or week that reminds us life is bigger than me and that out of that experience we find a simply joy.

And some of us Lord are ready to go flying into this next week, full of possibility and hope. Grant us patience and a listening heart so we can be an agent of your grace and mercy this day and this week.

Amen
