My soul is weary with sorrow; strengthen me according to your word. Psalm 119:28 (NIV)
He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Isaiah 40:29 (NIV)
“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Matthew 11:28 (NIV)
Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. Galatians 6:9 (NIV)
Some of us are very, very weary Father,
We are weary of doing what is right because we see no progress in the lives of others we live, work, study, and play with.
We are weary with sorrow because the sting of death is still present or we are watching a loved one die.
We are burdened with debt – emotional, financial, relational – and we are ready to give up.
Strengthen us good and gracious God by Your Spirit.
Clear our vision, mind, and ears so that we can see, hear, and believe more clearly.
Give us fresh hope so that discouragement does not have the last word.
You understand the heaviness of weariness.
Help us Lord to stand, wait, and walk so that we run and not grow weary; walk and not grow faint.
Amen.

Hi, Jim. A very beautiful and very helpful prayer, again. A highlight of my week: Jim’s Hump Day prayers. And the picture says it all! Blessings,
Thanks Ian for the kind word and letting me know about the gremlins. Sometimes my fingers go faster than my brain!
